Kiosk Information Systems Secures
ISO 9001:2000 Certification
Certification Enhances Company's Comprehensive Quality
Control And Testing Procedures
BROOMFIELD, Colo. - Kiosk Information Systems recently announced
its receipt of the ISO 9001:2000 certificate for both engineering
processing and manufacturing, verifying that KIOSK' quality control
systems meet the requirements of the International Standards Organization.
The certification allows KIOSK to conduct business internationally
and validates the company's systems and capabilities for current
and future clients.
KIS' ISO certification
complements the company's already stringent quality control processes
and testing procedures. For instance, almost all KIOSK kiosk enclosures
are Underwriters Laboratories-approved, meaning the units have been
tested by a certified UL representative and proven safe for use
by consumers in public environments like shopping malls and retail
stores. All UL safety tests take place in-house at KIOSK.
Standard KIOSK
kiosk models also undergo testing by the Federal Communications
Commission to ensure the units are not emitting materials or frequencies
that could interfere with or affect radio transmissions or telephone
usage. Through repeated FCC tests, KIOSK has developed the knowledge
required to manufacture and design kiosks to meet the agency's requirements.
Custom-designed models are FCC tested by client request.
To further expand
its full-service quality and testing model, KIOSK is now working on
becoming a Food and Drug Administration-certified kiosk manufacturer.
This certification will enable KIOSK to contract with clients that
require kiosks constructed entirely of FDA-approved components.
