INTERACTIVE KIOSK (SMARTSIGN)
SmartSign
is installed in public locations in New York and San Francisco
as an advertising light box that also serves as a full function
kiosk. It is being used to deliver a variety of city services
along with local travel and tourism information. Advertising
is used to offset the cost of the kiosk network and to attract
people to use specific kiosk functions. KIOSK designed, engineered,
and manufactured this kiosk in a super-thin profile (7 ½")
while accommodating a full range of components including a
full size computer, LCD, touchscreen, keyboard, wide thermal
printer with a 6" paper roll capacity and credit card
reader. The light box modules are designed for fast, easy
replacement of artwork. Additionally, the unit is fully modular
so that virtually any mix of boxes can be used to ensure fit.
