INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPS
CHARM KIOSK FOR JEWELRY MANUFACTURER
Rembrandt Charms Offers First Kiosk Solution In The Industry To
Showcase Jewelry Products
LOUISVILLE,
Colo. - Kiosk Information Systems recently announced its contract
with Rembrandt Charms, a 30-year-old manufacturer of fine quality
charms and charm bracelets based in Buffalo, N.Y., to produce 11
KT-110 Stealth kiosks for placement in 11 jewelry stores nationwide
that currently offer Rembrandt Charms as part of their jewelry collections.
The kiosks, titled "Charm Kiosks," allow customers to
view over 2,600 charm styles; search for particular charms by category,
key word or style number; and print photo receipts of the charms
they like best. The following jewelry stores rolled out Charm Kiosks

BEFORE CHARM
KIOSKS
Before deploying the Charm Kiosks, the cost to showcase Rembrandt's
extensive charm line - 2,600 styles, each available in four metals
- was daunting. The company's 15,000 retailers relied on displaying
a selection of best-selling charms in their stores and used Rembrandt's
Charm Collection Catalog to offer customers the entire collection
through special ordering.
CONSUMER BENEFITS
Now, customers can walk up to the Charm Kiosk and enter "frog"
or "New Mexico," for example, and the kiosk will quickly
pull up every charm style that matches the search term. The kiosk's
receipt printer allows customers to give a charm photo to the jeweler
for special ordering or show it to friends and family as a gift
suggestion. The jeweler's contact information and Web site also
appear on the receipt, making it possible for visitors to a particular
store to order the charm from home.
RETAILER BENEFITS
The kiosks provide benefits to retailers as well. Positioned at
the front of the store, each Charm Kiosk features rich colors and
a sleek, elegant design to draw in traffic and entice shoppers to
search through the charm styles. "KIOSK worked with us to deliver
an attractive kiosk to our long-time retailers," said Jennifer
Hillman, communications director at Rembrandt Charms. "It was
important that the units fit easily into the jewelry stores, and
KIOSK responded to this with a modestly-sized, 2' x 2' machine. The
finished product functions as an artistic accessory for the jewelry
stores; yet, it also provides customers with all the information
they need on Rembrandt's charms."
"The attributes
of the KT-110 Stealth matched well with Rembrandt Charms' description
of the ideal unit," said KIOSK President Rick Malone. "The
Stealth offers a modern look and its tapered figure and small footprint
allow it to fit into just about any retail space."
