Kiosk Information Systems Recieves Honors for Growth and Success

Broomfield, Colo. — It takes more than luck to be named one of the Fast 50 technology companies in Colorado and one of Inc. magazine’s 500 fastest growing companies in the U.S. Both honors were received this week by Kiosk Information Systems . KIOSK’ success is measured by an increase in revenues of 701% over the five-year period of 1994 to 1998.

KIOSK was recognized by Deloitte & Touche’s prestigious "Fast 50" Program for Colorado, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area. KIOSK’ 13th ranking overall and 2nd ranking in the manufacturer category is based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1994 — 1998. "To attain a listing on the Fast 50 is no easy feat, and we at Deloitte & Touche congratulate KIOSK for attaining this honor," said Steve Berhe, Partner in the Denver Office of Deloitte & Touche. "In an era where technology companies come and go like shooting stars, making the Deloitte & Touche ‘Fast 50’ is a testament to a company’s leadership and its ability to not only have the right solution for that moment in time, but also the vision that allows growth over five years. KIOSK has proven that they have the right stuff to succeed, and we at Deloitte & Touche salute its accomplishments."

KIS’ ranking of 427 was included in the Inc. 500 issue, published on October 15th. The 500 list is an exclusive report on the companies and CEOs who are changing the face of American business. This marks the 18th year that Inc. has charted the progress of America’s most innovative and successful entrepreneurs. The ranking is based on the percentage increase in sales from 1994 through 1998.

KIS’ President Rick Malone credits his staff and their Boulder County location that affords a variety of resources and the ability to partner with high-quality sub-contractors for the company’s 701% revenue growth over the past five years. Malone explains, "The ingenuity of our company to design and quickly turn high quality products for diversified markets is the key to our success. Our products range from sophisticated internet phonebooths and video teleconferencing kiosks to highly customized information terminals like those recently installed in Denver’s new Pepsi Center arena."
