Self-Service KIOSK Information
February 19, 2007
KIOSK is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor for this year's KioskCom Self Service shows in Las Vegas, Dubai, and New York. We're preparing to showcase our newest kiosk designs and exciting new customer deployments for 2007.
Read on for a sampling of our best and brightest show entries, as well as new additions at KIOSK:
The DESKTOP Series – KIOSK's Newest Standard Product:
In response to long-term demand for a seated transactional kiosk, the Desktop Series was released in January 2007. Extended use applications such as job application, Internet retail, and employee benefit review often demand an inviting seated footprint designed for extended use. This compact, yet power-packed kiosk provides laser-printing capability, a full complement of media reading options, and graphic or backlit signage for valuable advertising and branding space.

NEW GAMING DEPLOYMENTS:
Eye-grabbing graphics are only the beginning of the bragging rights tied to the Hooter's themed sports betting kiosks from Leroy's Race and Sports Book and ISI, Ltd. The iSports Stand (co-developed between ISI and AWI Manufacturing, Inc.) was recently deployed in Hooters Casino Hotel as a stand-alone sports book, providing nearly 24/7betting access. In addition to the huge success tied to the easy betting interface, ISI is the first to legally capitalize on casino floor advertising sales. ISI captured the essence of complete self-service, introducing reservations, event ticket sales, even tee times as added functionality to their betting kiosks. Leveraging complimentary revenue sources makes for an impressive ROI – undoubtedly the fuel behind multiple new casino deployments throughout the Vegas strip. This innovative solution will be featured in KIOSK's booth (#214), and shown live on the 2007 KioskCom bus tour. Learn more at www.isisports.com.
The Army Recreation Machine Program (ARMP) MPOG Station is KIOSK's second gaming entry featuring cutting edge design and functionality. With nearly 400 machines installed in military bases all over the world, there is no question of deployment success. The MPOG features high-speed Internet coupled with 20 PC / Xbox™ / Playstation™ game titles from the world's top tier developers. The station design appeals to the highest gamers' standards, featuring a 26” LCD display, high-end video card, subwoofer sound system, and video camera. U.S. Army soldiers have instantaneously adopted this addition to ARMP's portfolio, lining up to stay in touch at home and take advantage of some well-earned downtime.
NEW TRAVEL & TICKETING SUCCESS:
Amtrak and SITA are gearing up for nationwide deployment of their next generation self-ticketing kiosk. Matt Hardison, Chief, Sales Distribution & Customer Support, will be a featured speaker at KioskCom, addressing best practices for Identifying and Overcoming Kiosk Course Corrections. Having managed all stages of a complex solution between Amtrak and SITA, he has unique insight into leading key aspects of a successful deployment.
The Amtrak / SITA kiosk is an industry leading example of ADA compliance with unique headphone and device mapping hardware integration for visually impaired patrons. This kiosk also features successful compliance with new regulations regarding VISA PED and 3DES integrated in their encrypted pin pad. Technology aside, Amtrak and SITA are anticipating this next generation of ticketing to be even more popular and profitable than the first.
National Car Rental has completed the beta test phase of their Car Rental Agreement Kiosks, and have proven seamless performance of their software application and kiosk architecture. Eager customer adoption was also easily proven in Dallas, Las Vegas, and Jacksonville airports. With these successful milestones behind them, National is gearing up to deploy 143 new kiosks by summer's end. Their self-service rental agreement kiosk completes contracts 20 - 40% more efficiently than traditional counter agents. Clients who are already accustomed to self serve check-in with airlines, have readily adopted the touch and swipe approach to renting their cars. With 85 locations in the works by summer, this kiosk will become an airport standard.
